University of Professional Studies (UPSA) captain Delvin Bayonne is still basking in the glory after leading the side to qualify to the finals of the 2015 UPAC Basketball Championship.

The point guard was the star man for the host as they strolled to the finals in front of partisan crowd.

Bayonne led the scores in their three outings which saw them beat Ho Polytechnic, Pentecost University College and eventually overcame Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

“It’s a relief for most of us. We came into this competition with the aim of qualifying to the finals and I’m glad we achieved that,” he told BASKETBALLghana.com

“But the feat did not come on a silver platter. We had to work hard to achieve the result.

“I told from the start of this competition that we’re in for serious business and that’s what we have achieved.

He added: The focus is now on the finals and we’ll continue to prepare for it.

“That will be the gathering of the best and so the quality and intensity will be high.

“I am looking forward to it and hopefully we can win the title.”
