Kevin-Durant-141202-Celebrates-G-300Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant faces between seven and 10 days on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring injury, his team said Wednesday.

Durant limped out late in the second quarter of the Thunder’s 125-101 mauling of the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, failing to reappear for the second half.

An MRI scan revealed the 27-year-old had suffered a strained left hamstring. The Thunder said Durant’s condition would be reassessed next week.

Durant has made a blistering start to this season, averaging 28.1 points per match, 7.3 rebounds, three assists and 1.25 blocks.

Durant missed 27 matches last season after suffering an injury to his right foot that required three operations in six months.
