spritelogoAccra Wesley Girls High School won their second game in a row in the 2016 Sprite Ball Championship to lead Group B heading into Day 2.

The school has been in mesmerizing mode since the start of the tournament which happens to be their debut appearance. The ladies defeated Volta Region champions Awudome Senior High School 16-12 to virtually book a place in the semifinals.

In the first match up against defending champions T.I.Ahmediyya, ACA GEY HEY made history with a 15-12 win.

In Group C, Tema Senior High School’s winning streak was halted by debutants Kumasi Girls High School. The ladies from Kumasi recorded a momentous 20-14 win in their first ever game in the tournament.

KUGISS made good on their promise of hard training, easy battle as they showcased disciplined team oriented basketball to down the ladies from Tema.
