Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) basketball team head coach Albert Djan (First Right) is confident his side will be successful in this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship. The Championship is headlined by best-selling deodorant Rexona and will take place between March 5 and April 16.

The tactical head who doubles as coach of Tema West Basketball, made the statements when contacted by Basketballghana.com after the UPAC Championship was officially launched on February 25. He said:

“It was quite an interesting, the draw has been made, GIMPA will play Ho Polytechnic in our first game…we will take it match by match but I believe strongly GIMPA will standout.”

“GIMPA is going to win . This year is GIMPA’s year nothing less than a final appearance.”

GIMPA will be in action later today against defending champions Accra Polytechnic in the second warm up game.
University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and Valley View University will play in the first game.
