The highlight of the past weekend was without a doubt the Warriors-Spurs matchup in San Antonio on Saturday night, won buy the Spurs 87-79, but there were plenty more storylines for fans to follow.

Congolese Bismack Biyombo continues to be the strong force for the Raptors – he averaged 10 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.6 blocks over the past five games and recorded his ninth double-double on Sunday.

Salah Mejri of Tunisia came off the bench in NBA Sundays’ Dallas’ overtime win against the Portland Trail Blazers to score 13 points, block six shots and grab a career-high 14 rebounds. Thabo Sefolosha (Switzerland/South Africa) had 10 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals in the 109-97 Hawks’ win over the Rockets on Saturday.

“We needed some size out there. I just thought Mejri has had some good stretches for us, maybe he can give us some rim protection, some rebounding, and he came in and made a big difference.” – Rick Carlisle, Head Coach Dallas Mavericks

Lin leads Hornets past Spurs: Jeremy Lin had 29 points, seven rebounds and two assists and the Charlotte Hornets stunned the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Lin made all four of his three-point shots and made three of them when it mattered most in the fourth quarter. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 19 points.

Cavaliers get their 50th win: LeBron James scored 33 points and added 11 rebounds and 11 assists and the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Denver Nuggets 124-91. That game followed the embassing 122-101 loss against James’ former team Miami Heat on Saturday. The Cavs shut it down in the second half, winning the last 24 minutes 68-43.

Bulls win, hold onto eighth spot: The Bulls went on a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter with Derrick Rose making two key jump shots during the stretch and they defeated the Sacramento Kings 109-102.
