Marshalls University College, Zenith University College and Central University College headline a strong contingent of institutions set to participate in the UPAC (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) Basketball Championship, play in the Private Universities Students Association (PUSAG) Games.

The ninth PUSAG Games will be held at the El-Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra and will have over 38 private institutions compete in multiple sports disciplines including basketball where Zenith University College will hope to repeat as champions.

The 2015 Champions with Central University College, Pentecost University College, Marshalls University College and other institutions that will participate in the upcoming UPAC Basketball Championship Zone F and G qualifiers later this month.

Ghana Technology University College-Accra, already eliminated from the ongoing UPAC Championship following two successive losses will compete in the PUSAG Games against Christian Service University College and KAAF University College in Group A.

The PUSAG Games which returns to Accra after a year’s hiatus-last year’s event was held in Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi- will be launched today with a health walk with the games set to commence on Thursday March 23.

An annual event that brings together students from the various private universities in Ghana to develop and showcase their hidden sporting and athletic talents, this year’s PUSAG Games will be held under the theme “Strengthening Peace Through University Games”.

Zenith University College and Valley View University are in Zone F whereas Marshalls University College, Central University College and Wisconsin University College in Zones F and G respectively.
