The Championship which is headlined by Rexona, is in the preliminary stages where teams across seven zones where teams compete for the top spot that automatically qualifies the team to the latter stage of the competition due to take place at the University of Ghana on April 14.

The die was cast right from the start of the game where Takoradi Polytechnic bossed their opponents around without any resistance. The dominance told at the end of the first half with T Poly winning the half 33-19.

Unlike in the previous game against University of Cape-Coast, Cape-Coast Polytechnic lacked the spark to mount any kind of challenge following recess. Players from the side were visibly tired after playing back to back games with just a 30 minute break between both games. The jumbled arrangement was due to 2011 finalists University of Education-Winneba withdrawal from the competition.
