UG, the reigning Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Basketball Champions will take on Private Universities Students Association Games (PUSAG) Basketball Champions, Marshalls University in a headline matchup.

Zone A’s matchup will ultimately decide the team that progresses to the next stage as the undefeated Pentecost University will have to either win or avoid a huge loss to GIMPA. The latter on the other hand will definitely have to record a massive win and avoid defeat to have any chance of making it out of the preliminary stage.

The winners of Zone A and G will join Zones B and C winners, University of Development Studies-Tamale and University of Energy and Natural Resources in the quarter finals.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Takoradi Polytechnic and Accra Polytechnic are the other zone winners who will feature in the knock out stage of a competition widely regarded as Ghana‘s best tertiary basketball competition.
