2016 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship winners University of Ghana is embarking on a “Thank You Tour” to corporate organizations involved with the just ended tournament.
The team visited CAL Bank, Y fm and Fan Milk Ghana-producers of Fanyogo after beating Accra Polytechnic 45-44 in the final to lift the coveted trophy in front a jubilant crowd.

The team used the opportunity to interact with top executives and get a feel of how each organization is run with an eye for satisfying customers. The tour comes after Team UG made an appearance on premier basketball show “Fast Break” on Ghana channel TV3 this past Sunday.
The institution’s Director of Sports Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu and Directorate representative Henry Nii Sackey were part of the entourage.
The visit forms part of the team’s post tournament activities which includes a trip to South Africa to compete in an international tournament.
University of Ghana topped Zone G in the preliminary qualifiers and followed it up with another group topping performance in the quarter finals. The team beat Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) 49-47 before dethroning Accra Polytechnic.
