Blue Crest College Coach Kofi Agyemang Kwarteng is upset with organizers of Easter Ball after the final game between Blue Crest and Dam City Basketball Club was postponed for a second straight time.
The original date for the final game was April 17 but had to be called off with three minutes remaining in the second quarter after incessant rain. Blue Crest at the time of stoppage held a 13-8 lead in the game.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Kwarteng was frustrated after the rescheduled date for the final had to be moved again due to administrative reasons. He said:
“The organizers are messing up. Apparently, they had other engagements”.
Blue Crest remain unbeaten in the tournament after seeing off challenges from Data Link University, NFC Basketball Club, Black Outfit, Dam City Basketball Club and Blazers of Manuel’s in the earlier rounds.
The team competed in the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship where it beat Zenith University College before losing to Valley View University and Accra Polytechnic.
It has transferred such good form to the tournament after blitzing Blazers of Manuel’s 38-27, Dam City 34-33 and Black Outfit 52-37.
