Adenta Leopards are the best team in Division II according to ace Musician and Sound Engineer Paul Nuamah Donkor popularly known as Jayso. He said this in the aftermath of Leopard’s 43-28 win over Tema Youth in the second week of the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division II game played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Accra.
Speaking to Basketballghana.com, Jay, who has been a constant presence on the team’s bench, was in ebullient mood after watching his side secure a second straight win in the league. He said:
“As far as the Division II is concerned I think the Adenta Leopards are the best team. Its’ been evident in their first game and in this second game that they played that they should in the Division I. I believe strongly its’ going to happen.”
The “Pizza and Burger” hitmaker is an avid basketball fan who has been connected with the sport since his days in national powerhouse Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (Legon).
In the 2016 Sprite Ball Championship where his alma mater was eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual champions St. Augustine’s College, Jayso featured prominently in the All-Star game with fellow musicians including Wanluv Kubolor and Lil Shaker.
Adenta beat Junior Reformers 68-65 in overtime in the opening round of the league.
