Unbeaten sides Braves of Customs and Galaxy will square it off in the third week of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) at the Lebanon House in Tudu, Accra. The game will tip off at 15:00 GMT as Navy takes on Prison Reformers in the day’s other game.

Defending champions Braves marked its’ title defense with an impressive 58-30 win over Fire Service in last weekend’s matchup. The team looked every bit ready for the steep climb to securing another title as they bossed their opponents around with ease.

The young and athletic team anchored by experienced Matilda Gordon owned the open court as they used their quicker feet and hands to cause havoc on the offensive end.

Galaxy is yet to lose after two rounds after recording a walkover in Game One as Police failed to show up and beating Prison 28-22 in front of the latter’s home fans. It will be interesting to see how Braves cope with taller front court players.

Navy’s matchup against Prisons is sure to produce a lot of intense moments with either side looking for a needed second win in the season. Prisons started the season on a good note by beating Fire Service 63-30 but faltered against Galaxy in the second round.

Navy on the other hand will be on the lookout for a second straight win in the game. The team suffered defeat on the opening day but got a lucky break when Police forfeited Week two’s fixture to earn a win.

Both teams will do well to avoid falling further behind in the standings.
