The fifth round of Accra Basketball League Women’s Division will be affected by the absence of two games from scheduled games which are to take place at the Lebanon House in Tudu, Accra. University of Ghana’s game against Navy and Police game against Braves of Customs will not be counted as games in the division.
University of Ghana and Police have failed to honor games in the league and have since been removed from the roster by league officials. The division’s roster has been pruned to six from its’ original eight.
On the other hand, Air Force game against Prisons and Fire Service games against Galaxy will come on as planned. Air Force goes into the game on the back of an impressive win over Fire Service whereas Prisons was inactive last week due to University of Ghana’s situation. Reformers sit second behind Braves on the standings and will be look to halt Air Force two game winning run to maintain its’ position.
After a strong start, Galaxy has sputtered in recent weeks recording a damaging loss to Braves. Fire Service season hangs in the balance as another loss will condemn the team to a fourth straight loss in the league.
