Accra Basketball League’s (ABL) Men’s Division II leaders Adenta Leopards will be in action on Saturday as league games in the division resume a day after Ghana’s Republic Day celebration. Following a two week break, games in the league’s lower tier will commence with notable absentees in Leopards team when they play Galaxy at Lebanon House in Tudu.

The league leaders will be without Coach Meme Falconer, Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff and Muhaimin Guba who are in South Africa competing for University of Ghana. The Ghanaian tertiary champions are participating in the eight All Africa University Games commonly known as FASU.

Without sharpshooter Wolff, all round Small Forward Guba in the lineup and Falconer on the sidelines, Adenta head to the weekend’s round of games short on star power. Both men have been instrumental in Leopards rise to the league’s summit.

Leopards hold the best numbers on both ends of the court plus an unbeaten record in four games in the first round to show for their efforts. However, the team can count on the likes of Charles Annan and Samuel Adjei to shoulder the expectations of a growing fan base that includes celebrated rapper and producer Jay So. The duo’s absence will undoubtedly affect the team but it remains to be seen how Adenta deals with it.
