The maiden High School and Colleges Draft is set to take place at the University of Ghana between August 22 and August 27, 2016 as talented young Ghanaian individuals will have the chance to receive educational scholarships in top rated educational institution s in Ghana.
The week long program will have prospects taken through several drills under the watchful eyes of expert coaches and institution representatives on scheduled days before getting selected on the final day.
Monday August 22 has been set to have participants officially get registered to the program.
Premium Sports Management firm Rite Sports Limited is organizing the innovative event just mere days after successfully putting together the Ghana Basketball Awardsthat had Suleman Abubakar and Matilda Gordo both of Accra Polytechnic, emerge as Most Valuable Male and Female Player respectively.
Several institutions have made their intentions known by signing up to the scheme. Reigning All Africa University Games (FASU) Basketball champions University of Ghana, PUSAG (Private Universities Sports Association Games) Basketball Champions Marshalls University College, Accra Polytechnic, Radford University College et al will take in prospects at the tertiary level.
2016 Sprite Ball Champions St. Augustine’s College, Mfantsipim School, Pope John Senior High School and many others will do same at the high school level.
