Defending champions Braves of Customs retained its title by completing another unbeaten streak with a 50-30 win over Reformers of Prisons.
On the final day of play, Navy finally transitioned the exciting play the team has exhibited through the entire season into a win. Prior to Thursday’s matchup, Navy had lost all nine games and lost to all five teams in the division including Fire Service in the first round but made a mark in the win column with revenge.
The side comprising young talented players including Maria Mensah, Edem and Rashida Huudu end the season fifth in the standings, ahead of Fire Service due to a superior goal difference it has over the latter.
Coach Alexander Tindani made good on his promise his side will finish ahead of Fire in the standings and not bottom of the standings.
Braves of Customs win over Reformers completed the team’s title defense and pads the supremacy of the side over the competing field.
