Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle will be out of commission for a few weeks this offseason after lacerating the webbing on his right hand. He had seven stitches, the Lakers said Tuesday, and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Randle had a terrific rebounding season but struggled on both ends of the floor last year — as every single Laker did. This is a key season for him, so he needs to be in a good place going into camp. Luckily, with more than four weeks before training camp, there’s plenty of time for him to get back into a shooting rhythm and heal completely before preseason really begins.

Also, tearing the webbing on your hands sounds really painful, especially with seven stitches.
