2016 After 7 Cowbell Fetu Afahy3 Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Female Player Maria Mensah has stated her deep love for the game and has no intention of leaving the game anytime soon.
She made the statement when Basketballghana.com caught up with her after being declared the best player of the two day tournament held at the plush Cape-Coast Sports Stadium where she guided her side to a second place finish. Accra Security Service won the female division after an unbeaten run.
“I want to work hard on my game because I love the game I don’t think I am going to stop now… I have the energy to move on now and do better” she said.
Mensah’s dazzling display for Ghana Navy caught the eye of all gathered courtside as she racked up many assists and did some scoring of her own. She received assorted prices from tournament sponsor Promasidor Ghana Limited- producers of top selling dairy product-Cowbell.
Abdul from Kumasi Select side was adjudged Most Valuable Player in the male category as his side finished second behind winners Greater Accra.
