The Tema Community Basketball League continues later today at the Chinese Basketball Court in Community 4 as Flash Lights of Tema NewTown take on Community 12 and Nungua Coldstore takes on Community 2.
In what is a rematch of last round’s encounter between Nungua and Community 2, which the former run away with a comfortable 60-34 win, the repeat fixture is likely to be anything but the blowout result witnessed.
Nungua will head into the tie on the back off an unbeaten two game run which will be tested by a Community 2 side that will be in the hunt for revenge.
After losing 29-32 to Community 5 in agonizing fashion, Community 12 will be hoping for better luck to see of Flash Lights from Tema New Town in the final game of the round. The opening game tips off at 14:40 GMT and will be played on the newly painted court.
The facelift was deemed necessary by league officials including President Frederick Yeboah as a measure to bolster the image of the league. The seven team league has been exceptionally patronized despite only beginning a few weeks ago.
