The maiden edition of the Tema Community Basketball League regular season will come to a close on Sunday September 25 at the Community 4 Basketball Court with a quartet of teams set to battle for the final time before the postseason begins.

In Group A, Community 5 will take on Community 12 in the opening game at 14:40 GMT with Community 2 and Community 4 squaring off in a tough Group B duel.

With Flashlights from Tema New Town having booked a spot in the playoffs already, Community 5 and Community 12’s duel will determine which side joins the Flashlights in the postseason. Just a point separates all three teams in the group and a win is what both sides will be going after.

Matters are pretty much sorted in Group B as runaway leaders Ashaiman Lions and Nungua Coldstore have booked spots in the postseason. Lions lead the way with 11 points; a point better than Coldstore’s haul of 10.

However, Community 5 and Community 2’s duel is sure to be a fascinating encounter as both sides have exhibited great basketball plays in five outings thus far.

Earlier in the week, Member of Parliament for Tema Central Kofi Brako, donated three set of jerseys three league outfits.

Below is detailed representation of seven team league standings:
