Global Sporting Platforms (GSP) Basketball League will end the registration process for new players on Friday, October 7 at 18:00 GMT per reports reaching as the league is set to resume this weekend after failing to do so in the previous week.

The 2016 season was scheduled to continue last weekend at the Eusbett Hotel Basketball Court in Sunyani after the remaining of games had to be halted after the first round of games played earlier in the year.
However, multiple teams failed to register players in time for the competition to proceed.

As such, management has issued a statement notifying teams of the need to get players registered else face the possibility of being held out of the season’s remainder.

“The management of GSP Basketball League wish to remind all teams that registration ends on Friday 7th October, 2016 at exactly 6:00pm. All teams who do not register before Friday will not be eligible to participate in the league.”

Sunyani Polytechnic and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) basketball courts will host games in the course of the season. Defending champions Suncity Braves are set to be in action on Saturday October 7 when they come up against West Siders in the opening game.
