Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints and Suncity Braves headline Week Three of the GSP (Global Sporting Platforms) Basketball League’s exciting round of games at the Sunyani Polytechnic Basketball Court as both sides look to extend their winning runs.
The game which will be the last to be honored on Saturday October 15 pits two of the three unbeaten sides this season; Barracks Scorpions lead the standings with two wins and a superior goal difference over the pair mentioned above.
Ahead of the tie, defending league champion Braves look the inferior side following an underwhelming 20-18 win over bottom ranked West Siders in the previous week which is in sharp contrast to the Saints impressive 32-24 win over the strong University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
Either team will have its winning start to the season ended in a return to old stomping grounds after Week Two fixtures were honored at the Eusbett Hotel Basketball Court for the first time.
Desert Rabbits will engage UENR in the opening game at 9:00 am before Scorpions take on home side Sunyani Polytechnic. Bottom ranked sides West Siders and LIR will have a go at each other for a maiden win in the season.
