2015 Tertiary Player of the Year nominee Kingsley Quist was at his wizardry best leading Flashlights of Tema New Town to beat Community 12 39-33 in the ongoing Tema Community Basketball League third place game.

The win gives Flashlights a 1-0 lead in the three games series as Nungua Coldstore delivered a 49-38 win over Ashaiman Lions in Game One of the finals at the Community 4 Basketball Court.

Community 12 held an 18-15 lead over Flashlights at the end of the first half as both sides struggled to gain control in the game. A timely three point shot from the pint sized Point Guard handed the lead to the side.

Community 12 gained the game’s lead at the end of the third quarter (30-23) on the back off a series of good link up play by the side in the lead up to easy baskets. Flashlights Center Gershon Kurt Dzovor connected on alley oop pass from Quist in one of the highlights of the quarter.

The fourth quarter was a coming out party for Quist as he delivered three 3 point shots to tie the game at 32 before Center Joseph Boye came in with a timely three point shot of his own to seal the win.
