In the aftermath of dominating play in the third place game of the ongoing Tema Community Basketball League, Flashlights starting Point Guard Kingsley Quist has graded his performance as excellent but not his best game in the league.

He made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com after leading Flashlights to beat Community 12 39-33 in Game One of the postseason fixture at the Community Basketball Court. On his performance in the game, he said:

“It was a hard fought win we didn’t give up. (For today I will rank myself) 8.5 I think the other game against Ashaiman was the best for me”.

The 2015 Tertiary Player of the Year nominee at the Ghana Basketball Awards featured prominently against Ashaiman Lions in the postseason curtain raiser “Basketball Battle Tournament” before losing to the Lions after Quist got ejected late in the game.

He was in splendid form again for his side this time against Community 12 as he led Flashlights’ rally from a 23-30 third quarter deficit to win 39-33 on the back off a combination of top shooting beyond the arc, drives and alley oop passes.

Game Two will take place on Sunday October 30 at the same venue.

Flashlights Gershon (here finishing off an alley oop pass) was top performer in grabbing rebounds in the game.
