The latest tournament win gives the school three titles-the most in the female division- in the much coveted tournament which places it ahead of Sacred Heart, T.I. Ahmadiyya and Aggrey Mount Zion Senior High Schools in the process respectively.

After missing out on the tournament entirely for four straight years, Wesley Girls won the Central Region Championship by beating defending national champions Aggrey Memorial before repeating the game’s outcome in the semifinal at the national championship.

After a largely fruitless first half that ended with both teams scoring a point each, Wesley Girls capitalized on free throws to seal victory.

History was also made in the boys division as Opoku Ware School became the first school from the Ashanti Region to win the Championship.

The team accomplished the massive feat by beating record winners in the division Mfantsipim School 27-25.
