The final round of games at the ongoing seventh mini GUSA Games Basketball competition takes place later today at the University of Cape-Coast’s (UCC) Gymnasium with the host and two others in a battle for qualification from Group B.

UCC, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University of Professional Studies (UPSA) are locked in a tight battle for a spot I the latter stage of the competition.

UPSA plays UCC in today’s final game at 18:00 GMT with both teams in need of a win to have a chance of making it out of the group.

However, a win for KNUST against University of Education-Winneba (UEW) in the opening game of the day at 15:00 GMT will but end the aspirations of the aforementioned pair.

Wins for KNUST and UCC will mean qualification will be contingent on goal differences since both teams have a win each heading into today’s fixtures.

University of Education-Winneba (UEW) has booked its spot in the next stage after winning two straight games against UCC and UPSA.

University of Ghana plays University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) at 16:30 GMT; UENR lost its opening Group A game against University of Development Studies (UDS).
