2016 NBA Draft pick and Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is set to be in action later tonight as the Fort Wayne Mad Ants take on Erie BayHawks at home in the NBA Development League (D League).

The game pits the Mad Ants, who have 17 wins and 10 losses for the season against one of the league’s poor sides; BayHawks have won just seven games and lost a whopping 21 for the year.

Heading into the game, Bentil is averaging 11.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and scored nine points in his side’s last game against Canton Charge; Fort Wayne lost 115-124.

Despite having an impressive stat, Bentil has largely under performed on his return to the side after a two month stint in China particularly with his shooting.

The versatile Forward’s major strength is his ability to convert three point attempts but his stroke has deserted him as he is currently converting just 0.7 of 3.7 attempts.

Bentil made history in 2016 as he became the first Ghanaian-born player to be drafted into the NBA after being selected 51st overall by Boston Celtics.

He ended up in Indiana Pacers affiliate side Fort Wayne after Boston released him.
