Coldstore has been placed in Group A and plays its first game of the season on April 2 against Rangers.
However, the defending champions will have it tough battling against fellow group members such as Ashaiman Lions, Kings, Ghana Police and Junior Reformers.
Nungua has been in dominant form winning three trophies including the league and preseason titles since making its debut last year.
The side made an appearance on trendy basketball TV show “Courtside” exactly a week ago.
However, the team stated its resolve to defend its title.
This year’s Championship features 16 teams who have been grouped into two pots. Group B has sides like Ghana Navy, AK Rifles and Tema Heat competing.
Four teams from each group make it to the playoffs at the end of the regular season which is scheduled to end on September 24.
