The upcoming quarterfinal matchups of the 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship have a host of teams that made the grade last year.

Ahead of the draw which is scheduled to take place on April 2 on basketball television show “Courtside” which airs between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports, a huge chunk of the 2016 quarter finalists will be drawn.

Marshalls University College, reigning Champions University of Ghana (UG), Accra Technical University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) competed in the 2016 quarters.

University of Cape-Coast (UCC), University of Development Studies (UDS-Tamale) and debutants All Nations University College are the new names on the quarterfinals list.

UCC qualified ahead of Takoradi Technical University in Zone C while All Nations beat out Valley View to make the list and UDS got a special invitation.

All eight teams will be drawn into two groups of four and the top two teams from each group qualifies to the semifinals.
