Tema Youth Forward McMartey Lawer has stated emphatically his side will not lose a game in this season’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I.

He made the bold statement in the aftermath of Tema’s 64-39 shellacking on Adenta Leopards in the division’s midweek sole midweek game played at the Lebanon House Court.

Despite missing some key players including Lawer himself, Tema rode on the back off a dominant second half to easily deal with the debutant opposition who prior to the game, was unbeaten in two. Leading 23-16 after the first half, Tema’s lead improved massively in the second half.

The 25 point difference prompted Tema Youth’s Captain to state his side will not lose a game this season and will be crowned champions.

Tema’s title aspirations got a massive boost in its first outing this season after beating bitter rival and defending champions Braves of Customs 84-78.

Earlier in the week, he rubbished claims that Tema depends heavily on foreign players saying some teams in the league particularly Braves have used foreign players before including 2015 Tertiary Player of the Year Romeo Enan who is Ivorian.
