Trendy basketball television show, “Courtside” will host the draw for this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship live.

The program which airs on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sport between 14:00 and 16:00 GMT will be the platform for the draw of the West African nation’s most prestigious tertiary basketball tournament to take place.

Eight teams will be divided into two groups with four in each group and the top two sides to qualify for the semifinals after an all play format between teams in the respective groups.

The knockout phase of this year’s competition which began on February 24 at the Koforidua Technical University takes place at the University of Ghana (UG) on April 7 and April 8.

Defending champions UG has qualified alongside Marshalls University College, All Nations University College, Accra Technical University College and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

University of Cape-Coast and University of Development Studies (UDS-Tamale) and University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) complete the roster for the elite stage.
