Pentecost University warming up for the big game.

Central missed out on a gold medal.
Pentecost University College Women’s Basketball Team has won this year’s Private Universities Sports Associations Games (PUSAG) basketball competition in the female division.

The side beat Central University 19-9 in the final game at the Cape-Coast Sports Stadium earlier today.

Pentecost’s female side outplayed its counterparts to storm to an early lead and see out the remarkable triumph.

It has been an underwhelming time for Pentecost in recent times particularly its male team following early exits in competitions including the UPAC Basketball Championship; the male team lost 26-35 to eventual champions Marshalls University in the quarterfinals.

By winning this year’s title, Pentecost deposes 2016 Champions Valley View University who failed to compete in the event in light of administrative challenges that prevented the team from making it to Cape-Coast.

The PUSAG Games comes to a close on Thursday April 7 with winners in over multiple disciplines set to be rewarded.
