The one day tournament was organized to get all stakeholders in basketball in the Akatsi and beyond together to raise funds for the construction of a new basketball court for the area.
Rifles topped the field which had the likes of AK Rifles Juniors, Past Senior Players, Premier Players, Akatsi Senior High Technical School and Sea Blue Team.
Makafui Agudzeamegah won the three point competition and MVP for the Tournament while Marvellous Ocloo was named Most Valuable Player of the Senior Team.
Member of Parliament for Akatsi South Bernard Ahiafor donated 1,500 Ghana Cedis to the construction of the new basketball court with other benefactors pitching in on the philanthropy course.
Rifles ended up with a new set of jerseys for the team’s win in the tournament. Rifles is competing in the Tema Community Basketball League.
Sea Blue, Past Senior Team and Premier Players placed second, third and fourth while Rifles Junior side and Akatsi Senior HIgh completed the final spots in the competition.
