Accra Technical University’s (ATU) grip on the Ghana Polytechnic Sports Association (GHAPSA) Games remains tight following the institution’s male and female sides laying waste to the field at the just ended competition in Bolgatanga.

ATU beat Ho Technical University 52-28 to win the basketball competition of the multiple sports discipline biannual tournament to win consecutive titles following 2015’s triumph over Takoradi Technical University.

ATU missed on extending its title run in the UPAC (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) ahead of the trip to Bolgatanga as the side placed third behind University of Ghana and Marshalls University College.

Kumasi Technical University (KTU) placed third ahead of 2015 silver medalist Takoradi Technical University (TTU).

In the Women’s sect, ATU topped KTU to clinch the title with TTU and Koforidua Technical University occupying the third and fourth spots respectively.
