Magic’s Tstatsu Sakpaku closes in on Tema Guard Jonathan Walker.
Braves (white) got the better of Fire.

Four teams will be involved in games to usher in the closure of the first half of the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

League leaders Tema Youth takes on DC Dynamics and Braves of Customs play Ghana Navy in the final matchup. A win for Tema will be the perfect ending to a good campaign that has seen the side lose just once in five games.

Those wins included the much talked about cliff hanger 84-78 win in overtime over defending champions Braves early in the season.

However, a win for Braves could put the side in the driver’s seat heading to the start of the second round should Tema fail to put away DC Dynamics.

Braves look to have no such worries as the 2016 champs are highly tipped to beat bottom ranked Navy.

Aside its low ranking in the standings, Navy is yet to win a game this season and is the only side to have that have that record whereas Braves has been on a roll since that loss to Tema.
