University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Point Guard Robert Fiifi Brew has been named Most Valuable Player of the 2016-2017 GSP season.

The ultra fast Guard was named the best player of the league after a series of outstanding performances.

Popularly known as “Kube” Brew was instrumental in UENR’s title clinching campaign of the Global Sporting Projects (GSP) Basketball League.

The tertiary side beat defending champions Suncity Braves 26-25 in the final game of the season at the Eusbett Hotel Court in Sunyani to win the league for the first time.

The former Koforidua Senior High Technical School (KSTS) floor general’s name has become a mainstay since he burst on the scene in the 2016 UPAC (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) Basketball Championship.

He was influential in UENR’s fourth place finish in the 2017 edition; winning the league title and the top individual award caps off a very successful year for UENR.
