Fire Service (red) beat University of Ghana 36-32.
Fire Guard Carlyn Adjei attempts pass against Navy.

Galaxy (white) beat Braves Female Side.
Games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division get underway later today at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu with Ghana Navy playing Braves of Customs in the opening game at 17:00 GMT.

The second will be an equally tough contest between home side Tudu Galaxy and Fire Service who round up their respective campaigns for the season.

Heading into the final game of the season, both teams will be looking to end the year on a winning note. However, a win for either side could have major implications on the end of year standings.

Should Fire win, it is highly likely to keep the side in the top three spots of the five team standings while a win for Galaxy all but seals the team’s title win.

Both teams are riding good season and would want to end it in similar fashion considering Fire won just a game last season but has won three thus far with a game left to play.

For Galaxy, beating last season’s unbeaten champs twice and on the verge of winning the league represents a huge upgrade on the previous season.
