Rifles (black) has lost for the third time this season.

Akatsi Rifles start to the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season has been anything but good; on the contrary, the team has been poor.

Regarded as one of the fast developing club sides in Ghana, Rifles decision to compete in this year’s Division II season marked a major highlight in the team’s quick ascent.

However, what has ensued on the court has has left the side staring at a deep hole after recording no wins in three outings thus far in the campaign.

The team has lost to both Reformers of Prisons outfits before falling 41-49 to Panthers in the last round of games played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Akatsi lost 53-93 to Junior Reformers and succumbed to the senior side little over a week later. The big positives have been made on a personal level with the likes of Point Guard Makafui Agudzumegah playing a starring role.

The team will be keen on ending its bad run early to salvage the season. Games between Dunks Knight and Tudu Galaxy at 17:00 GMT and DC Aspirants and CYO takes place right after.
