A week after only Group B games were played, fixtures in Group A dominate fixtures for upcoming fixtures in the Tema Basketball League this weekend.

Tema Community 5 play against Junior Reformers and Ghana Police takes on Nungua Coldstore in the group with Ghana Navy’s tie against Don Bosco Giants being the sole fixture in Group B.

The past round had games in Group A postponed since players from teams involved in the fixtures were in Cape-Coast to compete in the Basketball Festival including Police and Reformers players.

Others from 2016 finalist Ashaiman Lions also competed in the annual tournament; players from Lions including Shooting Guard Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Dennis Dugbennu helped a select side from Greater Accra Region win gold.

Police placed second in the Festival and face another difficult challenge as it prepares to play defending league champions Coldstore on Sunday September 10 at Tema’s Community 4 Court.

Community 5’s tie against Reformers is the second meeting between the clubs following C5’s failure to show up for the first encounter leading to a walk over win for Reformers.
