Following a 23-53 shellacking at the hands of the 2016 League Champions, Police is revving to have a go at Nungua and even the series with the regular season heading to a close in a couple of weeks.
A loss tonight gives the defending champions a 2-0 win in the series and ends Police’ quest to usurp Coldstore atop Group A standings.
Police lie third but has featured less this season than Nungua so winning its final games including tonight’s tie and an upcoming fixture against Ashaiman Lions could give Police first place.
Junior Reformers of Prisons play Tema Community 5 also in Group B; Ghana Navy opens today’s games against Don Bosco Giants at 15:30 GMT.
Navy is heavily tipped to win the tie over its lower ranked opponent this afternoon.
