Junior Reformers
Reports reaching Basketballghana.com indicate Junior Reformers of Prisons have intentions to quit this year’s Tema Basketball League.

The team is yet to officially address the issue but investigations by Ghana’s leading hoops portal point to an exit from the Prisons side’s junior team.

Should reports hold true, the team’s absence will affect the league’s postseason which is due to begin next month; the team qualified as the fourth best side in Group A.

Reformers have consistently missed games in recent weeks against Ghana Police and Tema Community 5; the last round of fixtures had the team against C5 but both teams did not show up for the game.

Earlier in the season, its tie against Police got postponed after the team no showed again for the fixture eventually going on to lose once it did come off.

The start of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II could be a reason behind the withdrawal since a busy schedule in both leagues is likely to tire players out. The team beat Tudu Galaxy 54-51 in the ABL a day before its scheduled game against Tema Community 5 in Tema.
