The 2017 African Nations Championship (AfroBasket) is over but for 2015 Ghana Basketball Awards Tertiary Player of the Year Romeo Wilfred Enan, the opportunity to play in the competition has been a great experience.

Enan made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of the just ended Championship which had Co-Host Tunisia win the competition for the second time in its history.

The former Award winner played for Ivory Coast as the West African side competed in Group A with 2015 Champions Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Ghana and Mali.

Despite, failing to progress beyond the preliminary stage, Ivory Coast competed well in the tournament missing out on a win in the opening game following a 77-78 loss to D’Tigers.

After averaging seven points and 4.7 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game, Enan said, ” I have learnt a lot from this first National assignment and I can assure that the future is bright. I will continue to work hard and prepare for future challenges”.

Enan played for Accra Technical University and Accra Basketball League side Braves of Customs during his time in Ghana before moving to Nigeria where he suits up for Kwara Falcons.
