Junior Reformers
Defending Tema Basketball League champions Nungua Coldstore is set to take on Junior Reformers in the first round of this year’s playoffs.

The tie is the opening game of the 2017 playoffs scheduled to tip off at 15:30 GMT and has the Group A Regular season winners, Coldstore, face the only team that beat them.

Coldstore ended the season with 12 wins in 13 games to pace the group ahead of playoff games in its quest to win a second straight league title.

Reformers stunned Nungua with a 36-33 win inflicting the sole loss Coldstore recorded the entire season; Reformers lost the second tie.

Ahead of the big fixture, eyes are already trained on former Sprite Ball Championship starring alums Isaac Ashietey Ollenu of Reformers and Edwin Kuntor Appiah of Coldstore.

Both players starred at the celebrated high school tournament in Ghana and face off in the backcourt battle that also features Nana Owusu Afriyie and Andrews Ayienab.

Ghana Police take on Ashaiman Lions in the final Group A first round tie while Tema Community 2 plays Tema Heat and Community 4 plays Ghana Navy.
