Novas (red) recorded its first loss of the season.
Novas Academy has won won its second game in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season courtesy a 65-63 win over Junior Reformers.

The game which took place at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu was originally postponed due to heavy rain that hit most parts of Ghana’s capital city, Accra.

By clinching the two pint win, Novas has earned its second win of the campaign after dropping two straight games following an opening day win.

That balances out Novas record for the season with two wins and two losses in four games played in this year’s competition.

On the other hand, the loss is Reformers second in five games played and comes a bit as a shock considering Reformers have been one of the better sides in the division and won its last tie with a 92-80 win over DCD Aspirants.

The game was set to be played on Friday September 22 at the same venue after the Navy Warriors-Panthers tie but the fixture couldn’t be honored due to persistent rain.

Warriors shocked Panthers with a 58-43 win.
