Rifles (black) against Junior Reformers.
Akatsi Rifles have lost another game in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II following a 38 point loss.

The team lost 41-79 to Navy Warriors in its latest attempt to clinch its maiden win of the young season which has been poor thus far.

The latest loss is Rifles fifth of the campaign and comes at a time the team is dire need of a win as it continues to sit in the bottom three of the standings.

Rifles sit 12th in the 13 team standings with five points; the team is one spot above bottom ranked Dunk Knights who are yet to play their fifth game.

A win for Knights on Saturday September 30 against fellow winless side DCD Aspirants pushes Akatsi to the basement of the standings.

For a team that promised so much ahead of the season, the outcome has been poor from a group that has standout individuals like Point Guard Makafui Agudzumegah.

Rifles latest loss came on a night where Police blew out CYO and its five game winning run with a 73-57 win in the opening game of the round at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
