Emmanuel Agyapong was phenomenal in OWASS’ win in 2016.

Reigning Sprite Ball Champions Opoku Ware School’s chances of retaining its title in the upcoming national event could be on the rocks with news emerging sizzling Point Guard Emmanuel “Ghost” Agyapong could miss the games.

This is as a result of a deep cut he sustained on his left wrist earlier today in the Ashanti Regional Finals between his side and fierce rival Prempeh College.

He sustained the nasty cut after Opoku Ware’s tie against Prempeh was canceled for the second time in as many days due to rain in the third quarter.

In the aftermath of the stoppage, scuffles broke out involving players and supporters and the third year Guard sustained the injury which required extensive attention from medics at the Community Hospital in Afari, a suburb of Toase.

The severity of the injury could rule him out of the upcoming national games due to take place in a few weeks.

The crunch tie was bound to be tempestuous following Friday’s 16-16 stalemate at the end of regulation time which had to be postponed due to poor visibility. The game had to be stopped several times due to crowd trouble at Opoku Ware’s Court.

The second game played today, took place at Toase Senior High School.
