Prempeh College Basketball Coach Frank “Agoro Nana” Agyei has hit back at Opoku Ware School (OWASS) Point Guard Emmanuel
“Ghost” Agyapong’s claim of being targeted by Prempeh players during the Ashanti Regional Qualifiers Final matchup.

The fierce rivals have made it to the next edition of the Sprite Ball Championship courtesy a finals appearance at the regional games held over the past weekend. However, crowd trouble and scuffles led to the game postponed to Toase Senior High School which set the stage for Agyapong’s hand injury.

In an interview with Basketballghana.com, Agyapong stated he was targeted by Prempeh which has not gone down well with Coach Agyei.

“We targeted OWASS team…we went into the game to win and so the whole OWASS team was our target and not just a single player. We had our game plan on course and we were surely going to win the game if not because of the rains” he said.

The injury happened once the replayed game was called off due to rainfall in the third quarter with OWASS leading 24-21.

Agyapong is a returning member of the 2016 Regional and National (Sprite Ball) Champions.

The winners is still yet to be decided with a new date yet to be announced. By Yaw Adjei-Mintah
