Reformers (green) topped Panthers
Junior Reformers ended an exciting tie against Panthers with just three players on the court but won the game 67-66.

Samuel Odamtten was the hero of the game as he converted a late free throw to give his side the win with the score tied at 66 in overtime.

Rafiq Arthur converted a three point shot midway through the second quarter to make the score 18-24 with Panthers trailing with Paul Eta scoring a layup.

Jeffrey Abakisi converted two field goals to halt Panthers run. Godwin Tetteh scored on an easy layup failed to complete a three point play in the final possession of the game.

Rafiq opened the third quarter with a three point shot as Kofi Attefuah added another and converted a difficult running layup. Isaac Ollenu scored a layup after a beautiful behind the back move.

Panthers missed attempts at the rim and struggled to deal with Abakisi’s energy on the boards. Emmanuel Odamtten converted one of two free throws to give Reformers 57-37 with 1:45 remaining in the quarter. Dansoh scored a layup after Attefuah interchanged passes.

Ollenu ended the contest by scoring a layup after executing an in and out dribble to get past his defender. Junior Reformers ended the quarter leading 50-40.

Panthers Selorm Kuwornu opened the score with 6:53 remaining on the clock. Godwin Tetteh scored Reformers first points in the quarter by burying both free throw attempts.

Dansoh missed out on a three point play as Reformers buried easy fastbreak layups. Kuwornu scored six straight points to leave Panthers trailing 54-56 with 1: 13 remaining in the game.

Attefuah sunk two freethrows to tie the score at 56 but Kuwornu’s layup was cancelled out by Reformers to end the game with both teams tied on 58.

Dansoh fouled out early in overtime as Odamtten put Reformers 61-59 but Panthers recovered with three points from Eta and Kuwornu scoring.

Michael Annan scored a jump shot but Rafiq Arthur restored his team’s lead with three point shot as Panthers led 64-62. Odamtten scored but Attefuah got Panthers tied on 66 as Abakisi fouled out of the game to leave Reformers a man down.

Kuwornu fouled out right at the end of the game to give Odamtten chance to bury one of two freethrows to give Reformers a big 67-66 win.

The loss is Panthers final outing in the league this season and end with seven wins in 12 games. Junior Reformers will feature in last round of the season.
