Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Champions Braves of Customs are expected to arrive in Ghana later tonight after featuring in games in Nigeria over the past week.

The team wrapped up competing in this year’s FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championship on Saturday November 18 at the National Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria.

Reports gathered by Basketballghana.com indicate the team has left Nigeria and will touch down in Ghana’s capital, Accra this afternoon.

Braves female side featured in friendly ties in Nigeria including Zenith League outfit Dolphins and are travelling to Ghana as well.

Customs placed fourth in the West Africa tourney behind Nigerian sides Mark Mentors, Gombe Bulls and Kano Pillars.

By placing first and second, Pillars and Bulls have respectively secured spots to compete at the next Africa Club Championship.

Customs won two games in the competition after missing out in last year’s edition; the team clinched wins over Civil Defence and Benin side Aspac but losses against the likes of Pillars and Bulls prevented the side from progressing beyond the zone.
