After two previous failed attempts to find a winner between Opoku Ware School (OWASS) and Prempeh College, this year’s Ashanti Regional Basketball Qualifiers could end up without a winner ahead of the Sprite Ball-National High School Basketball- Championship.

The qualifiers, which took place a fortnight ago, have no winner in the male division due to circumstances-some natural- that prevented games from ending successfully.

However, the deciding game looks a farfetched idea as the regional body is yet to announce a new date to see out the encounter.

Coupled with academic commitments and a full on engagement with football qualifiers in upcoming weeks, the high school calendar is running out of time to make see out the fixture.

Despite the absence of a winner, OWASS and Prempeh have qualified to the national games to be staged in Accra.

The rival duo and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School will represent Ashanti Region in the male division with OWASS set to defend its title.

Kumasi Girls and T.I. Ahmadiyya represent in the female division.
